Does the plugin require an account or API key?
No. Search, recommendations, and the FAQ chat all run locally with no external requests. An account is only needed if you upgrade to a Pro AI plan.
Is any of my data sent off my site?
Not on the free tier — everything is processed on your own WordPress install; it never phones home. Pro features send catalog data for embeddings and LLM inference only when you have licensed and enabled them.
What happens if the AI service is down?
Fallback mode kicks in: every AI feature degrades to the equivalent free-tier behavior. No broken pages, no fatal errors — your store keeps running.
