WordPress Plugins
WordPress plugins built to survive the ecosystem
Plugin engineering from a team that ships its own plugins on WordPress.org.
WordPress runs a large share of the web, and its plugin ecosystem is where most of that power lives — and where most of its fragility hides. A plugin has to behave inside an environment it doesn’t control: thousands of theme combinations, other plugins fighting over the same hooks, and a user base that updates unpredictably.
We build plugins that survive that environment. Our own product, Wow Chat for Woo, is live on WordPress.org — which means we don’t just know the coding standards, we live with the review process, the compatibility matrix, and the support inbox. That experience flows directly into client work: update-safe architecture, security by default, and performance measured on realistic data instead of a fresh install.
From single-purpose utilities to commercial WooCommerce extensions, we deliver plugins your users can trust with their sites — and that your team, or ours, can keep releasing for years.
Capabilities
WordPress Plugins, in practice
Custom plugin development
Plugins built to WordPress coding standards, tested across the PHP and WP versions your users actually run, and structured so the next developer can find things.
WooCommerce extensions
Checkout, catalog, and store-management extensions that respect WooCommerce's data stores and hook contracts — including HPOS compatibility from the start.
Gutenberg blocks and editor tooling
Native block editor experiences — blocks, patterns, and editor plugins built with the same React tooling WordPress core uses.
Plugin performance and security audits
Query profiling, capability checks, nonce and sanitization review — the audit your plugin needs before it's on ten thousand sites and every issue is a support ticket.
Questions we hear
Asked before, answered honestly
Do you build plugins for the WordPress.org directory or just private use?
Both. Our own plugin, Wow Chat for Woo, is live on WordPress.org, so we know the review process, the guidelines, and the ongoing obligations firsthand — not from documentation. Private and commercial plugins get the same standards without the directory constraints.
Our plugin breaks when WordPress or WooCommerce updates. Can you fix that?
Almost always, yes — fragility usually comes from bypassing WordPress APIs rather than using them. We refactor toward the supported hook and data-store contracts, add compatibility tests, and set up a process for testing against beta releases before they reach your users.
Can you take over maintenance of an existing plugin?
Yes. We start with an audit — security, performance, and code health — then take over releases with a proper changelog and testing discipline. Several of our engagements began as 'the original developer is gone' situations.
Do you handle plugin support and ongoing releases?
We can. Long-term partnership is how we prefer to work: we handle compatibility updates, security patches, and feature releases on a steady cadence, so the plugin stays healthy as the ecosystem moves underneath it.
